ABOUT US

Melanated Homeschool Cooperative, Inc. was initially formed in the Summer 2021 and was incorporated in the Summer of 2022 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  The goal was to create a safe space and build a homeschooling community for families of color and their allies.

MISSION: 

To cultivate a safe space for homeschool families of color that empowers and supports our future leaders through social emotional learning, community building and enrichment opportunities.

VISION:

To become the premier homeschool co-op for families of color.

WHO WE SERVE:

Melanated Homeschool Cooperative is here to primarily serve families of color. We welcome families of all make-ups, even those without parents or children of color.  We are ultimately creating a community where our children feel safe and we welcome anyone who shares this same goal.

WHAT WE DO:

Melanated Homeschool Cooperative, Inc. enriches the homeschool experience of children of color by:

 

-Facilitating opportunities to develop social emotional skills

-Focusing on enrichment experiences that speak directly to communities of color

-Providing student directed educational opportunities
